Dodging the Rain for Fun in the Sun

Morning Cool Off

The sun was shining as the boys of Camp Wildwood woke up to the sound of reveille at 7:50am. Well maybe our Seniors Campers woke up at that time, but Junior Camp and buzzing in the moments leading up. As soon as it sounded, the younger boys popped out of the bunk for some ping pong and hanging out. Every morning we head up to the flagpole for morning announcements before breakfast. Happy Birthday Jordan C!

We had a little patch of rain, but for the most part the boys played through it. It was a nice break from yesterdays heat. There were a ton of activities going on throughout the morning: tennis, baseball, volleyball, basketball, GaGa, arts and crafts, photography, music and more!

We have some pictures available now and more will be uploaded around 9:15pm so make sure to check back in later or in the morning!

Sunshine all afternoon

It was a bright and sunny afternoon that started with a delicious chicken quesadilla lunch along with salad bar and more. From there, the boys had rest hour from 1pm to 2pm. They hang out in their bunks, getting a chance to recharge for the rest of the day. With the sun out, some boys were able to make it down to the water for their swim tests. They also got to hop on the water toys afterwards. Other activities in and around camp included team handball, ping pong, water ski, climbing, fitness, soccer and wiffleball.

Evening activity was the perfect combination of everything Wildwood. For thirty minutes, every got to hang around camp, starting pick up games of hoops or GaGa, sitting and talking or even reading a book! After that, each group had their own evening activity with the highlight being Game 1 of the Oaks vs. Sycamores Hoops Challenge. XXX took the first one. Game 2 TBD. A wonderful first full day at Camp Wildwood. See you tomorrow!
