Battle for the Blue/Gray Cup

It was another sunny day here Camp Wildwood. After ball scores at flag pole, we all started to enjoy some breakfast sandwiches when all of a sudden a van flew down the road and a police car with sirens blazing was chasing it. The van pulled into camp and was cornered in by the flagpole by another police vehicle. Campers were soon let outside to find out what was happening. Louis and THANOS?! Being arrested?! But, Thanos slipped away to address the crowd.

Good Morning, Camp Wildwood. Thanks for having me. I am Thanos, a Warlord from the Moon Titan. I have come to disrupt the harmony that is Camp Wildwood. I’ll collect the Five Wildwood Stones and rule this camp!

He was right! Voldemort was now standing on the roof of the lodge! He had arrived to take down Harry Potter. Harry pops out onto the roof and a duel ensues. Voldemort was simply too powerful! He defeated Harry and instructed everyone to head to the hockey rink. Waiting there was an ongoing lightsaber battle between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. After a heated battle, Vader is able to slay the young Skywalker and sends the group down to the climbing wall.

The Joker has been waiting. He’s pacing back and forth. Ready to defeat Batman. But Batman was ready for him. He was at the top of the wall! He repels down to fight the wicked Joker. Out of nowhere, Penguin shows up to make it an unfair fight. He blind sides Batman and takes him down.

Welcome to the Jungle starts to play…Everyone to the waterfront! But, for what? It’s a quiet morning, calm on the water. There is nothing down there. Then a faint sound begins to fill the area. The buzzing gets louder and louder. Then everyone sees it! A plane! It zooms by camp, turns around, lands right on Wood Pond and pulls up to the docks of Camp Wildwood.

It’s Lex Luther! He is here to destroy Superman. Superman arrives to save the day, but his powers are weak. What’s happening? Lex reveals that he’s wearing a kryptonite suit! Superman crumbles to his knees. But just as Lex pulled out a large kryptonite rock to destroy the incredible hero, Thor flies in and bashes him with his hammer! The heroes are back in control! Or are they?

Now all the characters are down at the beach fighting for the right to rule Camp Wildwood! Luckily, Louis arrived just in time before anyone got hurt. We would never settle a dispute with violence here at Camp Wildwood. There must be a Color War!!!! Blue Heroes vs. Gray Villains! Let the games begin. Team lists are included in the photo album for today. Congratulations to our four Generals: Max Silvers, Josh Gershman, Logan Scharlatt and Dylan Dolotta!

Heroes vs. Villains

The schedule was jam packed with events like handball, baseball, archery, crosbee, capture the flag, soccer, tennis and more! After evening flag pole, we had beef fajitas, potatoes and veggies for dinner. For evening activity, the two teams competed in Trivia, Monty Monty and Rope Burn! Please note that Color War days run late and we try to get a lot of pictures. This means that most nights, the bulk of the photos will not be posted until 10 or 11pm. See you tomorrow!
