Mixing it up!

Trip Day Vibes

It was breezy summer day in Maine at Camp Wildwood and the boys enjoyed a relaxing schedule. Wednesdays are normally trip day at Camp Wildwood so today was a laid back type of day with unique additions to the schedule. After eggs, donuts, bacon, fruit and cereal for breakfast and a cleaning of the bunks, the Cedar Pines opened their day with a huge group ping pong tournament followed by baseball, newcomb and a skating party. The Hemlocks were busy this morning canoeing around Woods Pond and then had waterski and lawn games (crossnet, cornhole, spikeball, etc.). The Oaks started their day with waterski and lawn games and then went swimming. After that, they had a team building class with Walker! Down in Sycamoreland, those boys teamed up with the Sequoias in the morning for Round 2 of the Wildwood Football League. After that, the Sycamores spent time on the water and the Sequoias had hoops practice. Over in Senior Camp, the Maples and Seniors had hoops practice followed by lawn games and then a paddle boarding trip around the pond.

Senior Camp vs. The Group Leaders

After trip lunch and a relaxing rest hour, the boys got a treat from their Group Leaders. It started with the Senior Campers challenging them to a basketball game. So after rest hour, everyone in camp joined at the outdoor courts. The Senior Campers put together an All-Star team to face off against the aging GLs. However, the maturity and experience of our dedicated batch of Group Leaders prevailed. What a show! Everyone loves dinner time on Wednesdays because that means Cookout! After a delicious dinner of burgers, dogs, bbq chicken and salad, the boys at camp enjoyed evening activity by group. Camp Wildwood was buzzing with trashball, wiffleball, capture the flag and crosbee. Looking forward to another great Maine summer day. Another great summer day at the best of the boys sleepaway camps in Bridgton, Maine. See you tomorrow!
