House Cup!

The Sorting Hat Speaks

It was a great summer day in Maine at Camp Wildwood and the boys in junior camp got a big surprise today. After eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit and cereal for breakfast and a cleaning of the bunks, a familiar song played over the loud speaker. It has indeed Hedwig’s Theme calling all Cedar Pines, Hemlocks and Oaks to the campfire area. House Cup has arrived and the Sorting Hat Ceremony was set to begin to place our new campers and counselors into their new houses. For the rest of the day, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin battled in many activities like futsal, tennis baseball, gaga, archery, basketball and handball. There was also a joke contest and a Senior Spikeball tournament. The Sycamores spent their morning playing team handball along with canoeing, ropes, archery and waterski. The Sequoias spent their morning on the basketball court prepping for an upcoming event. The Maples spent their morning at photography, mountain biking, waterski, kayaking and tennis.

Senior Camp Sports

After grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch and a relaxing rest hour, the boys were busy all around camp. The Four Houses in Junior Camp continued their fight for the House Cup. The Sycamores, Sequoias and Maples broke off into three groups. One played a big nine inning baseball game, the other played a roller and street hockey game and the rest played a lawn games tournament including spikeball, crossnet, kanjam and cornhole. Looking forward to another great Maine summer day. Another great summer day at the best of the boys sleepaway camps in Bridgton, Maine. See you tomorrow!
