House Cup!

Sorting Ceremony

It was another sunny day here Camp Wildwood and the boys stayed active! Yesterday evening, our camp little/big brothers got together before campfire to hang out, shoot hoops, play tennis, etc. We have included some pictures from last night in the album today. After ball scores at flag pole, we all enjoyed a nice breakfast of pancakes, sausage, fruit and cereal. After that, everyone made their way down to the bunks to clean before morning activities. Cedar Pines, Hemlocks and Oaks started their morning off at the campfire. Today marked the beginning of House Cup, a two day competition based on the Hogwarts school from Harry Potter. New campers and counselors were sorted onto teams and the party got started! Morning activities were tennis baseball, handball and newcomb along with a chant competition and spell competition. Our 13s and 15s spent the morning preparing for their afternoon tournaments while the rest of camp enjoyed a mix of activities including guitar, climbing, soccer, hoops, swimming, tennis, BMX, archery and waterski.

Football Tournament

After mac n’ cheeese, fries and veggies for lunch, the boys took a rest hour from 1pm to 2pm. From there, House Cup restarted, activities got started and the football round robin began. Both football teams dropped tough first games to Takajo, but salvaged the day by each defeating Cedar in the final game of the day. Shout outs go to Josh F. and Jared R. for the 15s team and Zay R., Sam M. and Grant F. for the 13s. House Cup involved a four way dodgeball game at the flagpole, a wand making contest, basketball and a dance competition. wOther activities around camp included photography, arts and crafts, tennis, swimming, waterski, sailing, low ropes, baseball and lacrosse. After evening flag pole, we had a pizza dinner along with veggies. For evening, Junior Campers stayed involved with House Cup and the other groups did something a little different like softball and tennis ball home run derby. See you tomorrow!
