Fun on the Fourth!
Color Run and Slip n’ Slides
Happy Fourth of July from Bridgton, Maine! A little misty here at Camp Wildwood, but we made the absolute most of it! After a lazy Sunday buffet breakfast of pastries, eggs, bacon, fruit and cereal and a cleaning of the bunks, each group of boys played a mix of games around camp. We had steal the bacon, dodgeball, trashball, knockout, ping pong, newcomb all going at the same time.
Fireworks!
After a delicious steak sub lunch and a relaxing rest hour, all of the boys and counselors met at the campfire for a special event. By group, the boys took off on a run around camp. Little did they know that they would be doused along the way by powdered paint! After that, each group participated (for those who wanted) in a Polar Bear Plunge! We finished the afternoon with the beginning of our Jr. Camp Ivy League Games while the Maples played Slip n’ Slide Kickball and the Sequoias caught a movie in the lodge. After an amazing BBQ dinner down at the cookout, everyone gathered at the big baseball field for a Staff vs. Admin softball game. Staff won 7-2! Admin has already reached out for a rematch. While the game was going on, the boys enjoyed ice cream or cake for dessert. We finished this awesome day with fireworks on the golf course! Another special day for the Camp Wildwood Boys in Maine. Another great summer day at the best of the boys sleepaway camps in Bridgton, Maine. See you tomorrow! (more pictures will be added throughout the night)
