The Sun is Back!
Hikes and Bikes at Camp Wildwood
The sun has returned to Camp Wildwood and the boys and staff could not be happier! Today was the perfect Maine summer day. After pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit and cereal for breakfast and a cleaning of the bunks, each group got moving around camp. In fact, one group of boys in the Sycamores spent their day on a hike in the White Mountains. The Cedar Pines had tennis followed by waterfront and the Hemlocks had the opposite as they opened the morning with a dip in Woods Pond and then made their way to the clay courts. The Oaks had lacrosse, archery, BMX and baseball and the Sycamores had hockey, ski, lacrosse and arts and crafts. Over in Senior Camp, the Sequoias spent their morning at camp at soccer, hockey, at the climbing wall and on the golf course. The Maples and Seniors had baseball, basketball, hockey, archery and waterski.
Living the Good Life on Woods Pond in Maine
After a delicious chinese food lunch and a relaxing rest hour, everyone got back out for an afternoon full of fun activities. The Cedar Pines and Hemlocks separately prepared for the 1st Annual Cedar Pine/Hemlock Invitational. The Oaks spent time at tennis, hockey, ropes, football and waterski while the boys in the Sycamores enjoyed tennis, swimming, baseball and drums. Senior Campers were busy at tennis, swimming, waterski, basketball and golf. After a delicious chicken and steak dinner, the boys had a relaxing evening of dealer’s choice. Another beautiful Maine summer day awaits us tomorrow. Another great summer day at the best of the boys sleepaway camps in Bridgton, Maine. See you then!
