The Invitational

Morning Cool Down

After a hot day, it was not the worst thing to see a little sprinkle in the morning. Not enough to dampen our day. Just the right amount to cool off and to wet the fields. The day started with ball scores at flag pole followed by scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, granola, cereal and fruit for breakfast. After that, it was down to the bunks for cleaning before the morning activities. It was another day full of picks as the boys were able to choose from a mix of guitar, arts and crafts, soccer, football, drums, BMX, tennis, swimming and more.

The Battle for the Red/Gold Cup

The afternoon began with BLTs, chips and salad for lunch. From there, the boys had rest hour from 1pm to 2pm. This afternoon marked the beginning of the Cedar Pine/Hemlock Invitational in which our two youngest groups and mixed together into two teams to battle for the Red/Gold Cup. This summer the teams are the Red Falcons and the Gold Grizzlies. For the other groups, activities in and around camp included basketball, swimming, waterski, canoeing, fishing, tennis, BMX, climbing, golf and more.

Dinner was pizza night! Evening activity included more Cup action as well as group activities like capture the flag, 3 on 3 hoops and team handball. A great day at Camp Wildwood. See you tomorrow!
