Trip Day!

Rafting, Lower Falls and an Executive Decision

Wednesdays are trip day here at Camp Wildwood and everyone got out of camp! After ball scores at flag pole, we had donuts, fruit and cereal for breakfast. After a cleaning of the bunks, everybody loaded up and headed out. The Sequoias, Maples and Seniors were already on a trip of their own. They woke up early and made their way to the Kennebec River for some white water rafting. They tackled some class 4 rapids like Big Mama! Their first full day ends with a steak/chicken lunch back at the lodge followed by swimming and hanging out, then dinner and a stop at the Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream and Mini Golf. The Oaks and Sycamores took a bus to the natural water slides of Lower Falls along the Kancamagus River and finished off the day with mini golf in North Conway. The Cedar Pines and Hemlocks were on their way to Shawnee Peak for a grueling hike when their Group Leaders sprung into action, redirected the bus and the boys splished and splashed all day long at Aquaboggin! For dinner, we had a big cookout with burgers, dogs, bbq chicken, salad and chips. Evening activity was a mix of fun camp games as a nice way to wind down the day. Trip Day is always a nice change of pace for the boys and staff. See you tomorrow for a fun day of activities and intercamp!
